High School Monthly Recognitions

At Courtney Christian School, Lion of the Month is more than just an award. It is an honor that recognizes students who reflect excellence in both character and academics. This recognition celebrates the heart of a student who lives in a way that points others to Christ through their actions and attitudes. This month’s Junior High Lion of the Month is Alona Augello!

Alona demonstrates respect in the classroom by listening, asking questions, participating, and following directions. Her personality shines brightly, showing both confidence and kindness. She is strong in academics and leadership, and she continues to grow in honor, respect, peer relationships, and Christian character.

Alona stands out not by imitation, but by being true to herself and the values she represents. We are so proud of her for being a shining example of what it means to be a Lion who lives with excellence and builds others up.

This month’s Senior High Lion of the Month is Will DePriest!

Will consistently goes out of his way to help fellow students without being asked. He is kind, motivated, and always willing to serve others. His maturity and academic growth are evident, and he stands firm in making the right choices, even in the face of peer pressure. In the classroom, Will is a great listener, asking thoughtful questions about lessons. He demonstrates teamwork in group learning, maintains a growth mindset, and even takes initiative to help keep the class clean. His example shows what it truly means to lead with integrity and humility.
