SLU's Common Read Event

Mrs. Raiford’s English III and Dual Enrollment students had the opportunity to attend Southeastern’s Common Read Event, where they heard from poet and author José Olivarez. Students listened to him read his poetry, share insights about his work, and answer thoughtful questions from the audience.

After the event, they enjoyed lunch in the student union and a beautiful walk around campus. It was a meaningful experience that combined literature, learning, and a glimpse of college life.
